Animals That We Know
A Clerihew poem by Peyton
All animals that we know
Around the world they all go
They live everywhere
Each and everyone of us should care

Painted Horse by Skye
You're never supposed to paint a horse, of course.
But Sarah O'niel painted her horse.
She painted her horse red and blue,
then her mother came out and yelled
'what did you do!?!?'
'I colored my horse, I colored it bright!
I made it so pretty and full of delight!'
So the horse sat red,
and the horse sat blue,
as that's what horses, horses will do.
And the horse still grazed,
and the horse still ran,
as that's what horses, as horses, will do.

Star-Llinked Day by Skye and Justin
Once i saw a silver moon
and brought it home to play

we danced and cried
side by side

until the spark of day,

and as the light pulled my friend away,
I called out,

"Come again, for another star-linked day,
before my colors fade to grey."

Turtle Turtle by Ola and Mackenzie
Turtle turtle, small and cute
we never hear a little peep
every time we try to hear
you just look very sincere.

Turtle turtle, with a shell
trying to waddle up a well.
Turtle turtle, small and cute
slowly walking down the shoot.

Little Prince by Skye
Little Prince, Little Prince
he always likes to play
He never answers questions,
but asks them anyway
Little Prince who owns
a flower
Little Prince who owns
volcanoes
Little Prince who wanted
a sheep
and could speak to the
rinos
Little Prince with your
laugh which makes me smile.
Come back to the Earth someday.

Horse by Skye
As I sat on my window sill
a horse came by
a thoroughbred of course.
As I sat there astonished I wondered
How had he gotten to my street.
As I sat there wondering this I pondered
something new
"Can I ride you?"
As I walked through the door he ran off,
and so, I followed.
and as this mysterious horse ran away
I wondered yet again
"How had he found me?"

Cow by Skye
Cow, cow, you make me happy
when you come to play
You're such a happy cow
who is always there to play.
You come each and every day
to laugh with me,
to learn with me,
to play.
You're such a happy
cow
Who just never goes away.

Rattlesnake by Skye
Hello rattlesnake,
give that tail a shake.
Hear that rattle,
it scares me like
a battle.
Good-bye ratttlesnake,
if I may ask a favor
could you,
give that tail a shake?

Turtle by Skye
Turtle, Turtle, you're my friend,
just as the cow
has been.
You are a turtle
that is always
there to play
and stays
for
days and days
and days
to stay and play.
Turtle, I hope
you will always stay.

Bailey by Skye
Bailey, Bailey how you
shine
in the days of
decline.
How you make
me happy when you
let out your shine
as I'm walking down
the line.
Just let out
your shine.
